Alessi Tea Kettles

"Michael Graves kettle is recognized all over the world as an icon of contemporary design, thanks to its mix of pop and postmodern styles. To mark the kettle’s 30th anniversary, Graves has redesigned the whistle, transforming the little bird into a fascinating mythological and futuristic creature: something in between a dragon and a flying dinosaur. Symbolizing strength and fortune in Chinese culture, the dragon was chosen as a good luck charm for the kitchen.

Beautiful, sleek design and a nice weight to the metal. I took off one star because the dragon on top is just plastic. Pretty disappointing because that’s what sets this kettle apart from others. Otherwise it’s a beautiful, contemporary piece that looks great in my new kitchen.. Billie. Crystal Beach Tx. Tue Jul 28 2020

The 9091 kettle has a melodic whistle made of brass in a shape that has never been seen before and consists of two small vents in which the tuners that reproduce the notes mi and si are inserted. Richard Sapper created this kettle inspired by a childhood remembrance, the poetic sound of boats' sirens at the River Rhine: This is because the melody that accompanies the vapor outlet must be pleasant and not anxious like the whistle of boilers. This induction kettle is a polysensory object that will not interrupt an enjoyable break with a whistle but with a captivating melody.

This is a very beautiful looking kettle, except for the bottom connection to the base should have been a different material Because one mistake with the flame to high it started melting. Can that be correct. Thank you…. Roxanne. Brooklyn, NY. Wed Apr 05 2023

The kettle with the little bird designed by Michael Graves is presented in a new, smaller size and in two new colours, taken directly from its creator's historical palette. Designed in the early 1980s, it has spanned four decades, always presented in new versions: an object that has never ceased to amaze, intercepting consumer tastes the way only an icon can.

Il Conico induction kettle is the architectural derivative created by Aldo Rossi: made of stainless steel 18/10, it is the transformation of his geometric designs into a kitchen object, that soon became a design icon. This conical kettle makes a striking statement in any kitchen.

Attractive kettle. I wanted a minimalist kettle that visually stands out, and this is exactly it. That handle is uninsulated, but the kettle seems to have enough thermal mass that the handle doesn’t get hot unless you make a number of back-to-back batches of hot water. The only downside is no whistle, although you can still hear (and see) the water approach boiling.. Benjamin. Boston, MA. Mon May 17 2021

Bulbul is a perfect induction hob kettle imagined in the rounded shape of a curling stone: it presents a new way of handling this object, almost as if to suggest an invitation to play by sliding it across the kitchen surface. Bulbul reveals Achille Castiglioni's extraordinary ability to transfer qualities and functions into a project from objects belonging to entirely different spheres. This game of transfers has often resulted in the equally famous ironic dimension of many of his works.

Love this! This kettle is big - it holds 2 quarts! The style is fantastic! And, the quality is impeccable.. Susan. New York, NY. Fri Jun 16 2023

The kettle mixes different cultural aspects: The phenomenon of basketball and its multicultural imagery, an integral part of Abloh's personal history, with the world of design and its codified references. The whistle is completely redesigned, taking the form of a basketball player who crushes with power to the basket, while the colors of the handle and the knob are lit with an intense purple. The polyamide knob and handle insulate the hand from heat, allowing easy handling of the kettle. The knob design allows the kettle to be conveniently opened and closed, making it easy to fill.

Pito is a stainless steel kettle designed by Frank Gehry. The melodic top and the handle in mahogany have the stylized shape of two darting fishes. The melody produced by the whistle is likewise peculiar, it sounds like a whale's song. Gehry turned a kitchen utensil into a fascinating poetic object.

wonderful piece of functional art. Anonymous. Sun Apr 07 2024

A classic!!!!. Lita. Potomac, MD. Wed May 20 2026

The Plissé kettle combines functional aspects with a sculptural and fascinating design: like a fabric transformed into a three-dimensional object by a tight fold, this kettle is reminiscent of a haute couture dress. The new version has a temperature control option, which extends the range of applications and offers the ideal solution for all cases in which the water should not be boiling hot.

the kettle is very unique. it heats up very quickly.. Anonymous. Sun Mar 08 2026

The Toru electric kettle, designed by Nendo for Alessi, expresses the company's skill and precision in working with steel. “Toru” means “through” in Japanese and the designer's creative imagination turns the handle into a spout that runs playfully through the steel volume of the body. An ironic yet intellectual approach to composition that softens the metallic material without altering its refined aura. Modern kitchen art.

so good. Elizabeth. New York, NY. Sat Mar 08 2025

Designed by Michele De Lucchi, the Plissé kettle combines functional aspects with a plastic and fascinating design that reveals the creator's architectural background, as well as his passion for handicrafts and sculpture. Like a fabric that a thick pleating transforms into a three-dimensional shape, this kettle is reminiscent of a haute couture dress, a beautiful object to be left on display on your kitchen top.

Awesome sleek looking cool and does a great job quickly.. Catherine. Pittsburgh, PA. Sat Sep 12 2026
