About This Product

"Michael Graves kettle is recognized all over the world as an icon of contemporary design, thanks to its mix of pop and postmodern styles. To mark the kettle’s 30th anniversary, Graves has redesigned the whistle, transforming the little bird into a fascinating mythological and futuristic creature: something in between a dragon and a flying dinosaur. Symbolizing strength and fortune in Chinese culture, the dragon was chosen as a good luck charm for the kitchen.

Features

Graves's formal language combines ideas taken from European tradition, Art Deco, American Pop Art, and memories of pre-Colombian cultures. The American designer also can bewitch the general public like few other designers in the Alessi catalog.
