For those who like cooking with cast iron but love the versatility of a clad stainless steel pan, the Viking Blue Carbon Steel 10-Inch Fry Pan is the perfect pan. Featuring a 10’’ size for added versatility, this pan is made of carbon steel, an alloy that is a combination of iron and carbon. The “Blue” in “Blue carbon steel” references a heat treatment process to help resist rust and corrosion, a nuisance that can plague traditional cast iron pans. Stay-cool cast iron handles securely attach to the pans with heavy duty rivets for confidence in construction and a lifetime of use. Though cast iron also excels as maintaining even heating, it can take time to rise to temperature and since iron itself is so brittle, more of the material must be used to make it durable, making traditional cast iron pans larger and heavier. With blue carbon steel, you’ll have a pan that is noticeably lighter without sacrificing performance. And like cast iron, blue carbon steel also heats quickly and evenly, reducing the risk of hot spots from occurring. Blue carbon steel is also prized for achieving high temperatures quickly without fear of damage occurring to the pan itself. Viking Blue Steel is oven safe to 450°F for restaurant quality finishing in the oven. Like cast iron, your blue carbon steel pan will need to be seasoned regularly to maintain its nonstick properties. “Seasoning” refers to the process of coating the base of the pan with a thin layer of oil that imparts a flavorful taste to your foods while also protecting foods from sticking. There are plenty of methods to seasoning your pan, but if this is your first time seasoning the pan, we recommend using very hot water and dish soap to first scrub the pan, then wipe dry and place it on the burner at low heat to finish drying. Add some oil to the pan and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Then, let the pan cool and wipe with paper towels and your pan is ready for use! For future maintenance, simply rinse the pan with water after use and scrub gently with a soft-bristled brush or sponge if necessary (No need for soap!). Season with vegetable oil periodically to maintain its smooth cooking surface and nonstick properties. It is not recommended to put these pans into the dishwasher as it will remove the seasoning, reduction the natural nonstick and making the pan more susceptible to rust. Should you find rust on the pan, like natural cast iron, this can be normal. Just clean the rust off with a scrubby sponge and season the area with vegetable oil. - Includes 10-inch Fry Pan - Pre-seasoned carbon steel construction for healthy, lightweight and long-lasting cookware - Features a matte finish and cut rims - Stainless Steel Handles - Safe up to 600°F/315°C - Compatible with all Cooking Surfaces; Electric, Gas, Grill, Induction, & Oven Friendly - Hand wash Only - Limited Lifetime Warranty - Blue carbon steel is lighter and more maneuverable than cast iron, making it easier for those who struggle with the weight of cast iron - The special alloy that makes up blue carbon steel is designed to resist rust and corrosion more effectively than cast iron, reducing the amount of time and energy spent on care and maintenance - Carbon steel cookware is touted by many as the perfect blend between clad cookware and cast iron, delivering the superior heat transfer of cast iron for searing and the even distribution of clad 3-ply cookware -Naturally nonstick due to the vegetable oil seasoning - As a thinner alloy, blue carbon steel heats more quickly than cast iron while still maintaining its even and consistent heat distribution - Blue carbon steel is able to withstand high temperatures without damaging the pan, making it perfect for finishing steaks with a quick sear or sautéing a quick stir fry This product contains: Iron, Chromium, Nickel, and Manganese For more information about chemicals in this product, visit www.vikingculinaryproducts.com/pages/disclosures.html Para obtener más información sobre los productos químicos de este producto, visite www.vikingculinaryproducts.com/pages/disclosures.html

The Alva Forest Carbon Steel Frying Pan is for cooks who would rather build a nonstick surface than buy one. It arrives pre-seasoned and ready to use, and every meal after that deepens the patina into a release that keeps improving instead of wearing out — there is no coating here to scratch, blister or replace. Carbon steel heats fast and responds the instant you move the burner, which is what makes searing, sautéing and browning feel precise rather than approximate, and the acacia wood handle stays cool and comfortable in the hand. Works on gas, electric, ceramic, glass and induction. The wood handle is not oven safe, so keep this pan on the cooktop. Hand wash, dry immediately and wipe with a little oil to maintain the seasoning. Available in 8, 9.5 and 11 inches and as a 2-piece set. Made without intentionally added PFAS, PTFE or PFOA. This steel pan can also withstand and maintain exceedingly high temperatures, as it can be used on all hob and stove types, even induction. It's also oven and dishwasher safe making it the ultimately compatible and versatile pan! Once seasoned this chef's favorite fry pan becomes naturally non-stick, so much so that your foods will slide right out of the pan. Before your first use, you must season this fry pan and remove its natural, protective beeswax finish, possibly up to 6 times depending on the thickness of the protective coating.

Season it exactly as instructed, then used it right away. I made paella and it turned out pretty good. It will take a couple tries to get it perfect, but this is the right pan for the job. Heat stayed even. The handles also get hot so definitely need something over them when touching them. And of course its heavy, especially when loaded up so be prepared for that.. Elissa. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this pan for a few months now. It heats up evenly and food sticks less to it than my other stainless steel pans so I prefer to use it over those. The picture is after four rounds of smaller pancakes made in the pan with only one application of olive oil, whereas my other pans I had to keep adding oil or butter or it’s definitely going to stick. The handle is attached only on the outside and after having this option, I don’t know why all pans don’t do this. My other pans ALWAYS have food stuck around the rivets , this one doesn’t have that and it’s amazing.. Melaniej. Thu Apr 16 2026

This flat bottom paella pan is designed expressly for ceramic smooth top stoves and induction burners (though they also work with conventional electric and gas stoves). Unlike traditional paella pans, which are slightly convex on the bottom, these pans are perfectly flat so the entire pan bottom makes contact with the burner surface.

A steak needs a pan that does not flinch. The Alva Black Angus Carbon Steel Frying Pan comes pre-seasoned and ready to sear from the first use, and carbon steel is what makes the crust possible: it takes high heat without complaint and holds it when cold meat hits the surface, where a thin pan would drop temperature and steam instead. With every cook the seasoning deepens into a naturally nonstick patina that gets better rather than wearing out — there is no coating here to scratch, blister or replace. Oven safe to 500°F with a stainless handle, so you can sear on the burner and finish in the oven, and compatible with every cooktop including induction. Hand wash and dry immediately. Available in 9.5 and 11 inches and as a 2-piece set. Made without intentionally added PFAS, PTFE or PFOA. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, built in the Belgian tradition since 1949.

I like these pans a lot, they heat quickly, evenly and have a great non-stick finish (though I seasoned them when we first got them and dry them on the stove top with a little oil immediately after cleaning). That said, there are definite marks from cooking that I hope will fade with more use over time.. Andrea. East Rochester, NY. Tue Sep 15 2026

Not a 100% Titanium pan. I didn’t realize this until I ordered and received the pan. The label on the pan stated that it was a 3-ply material with stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium.. Nicole. Swansea, IL. Thu Jan 01 2026
