The box became damaged during transit. After opening and removing the first layer of the plastic wrap I begin hearing an oozing sound, contrary to me not even opening the standard vacuum wrapped plastic. Soft and firm at the same time. I got this for my daughter to go with her new twin canopy bed (still being assembled). Its firm enough to offer back and body support, yet the top part is a pillow top-- like people often add on for the softness, but this one is just part of the mattress.
