Pieces are all labeled with part number. We laid out all parts in order first, makes it easy to find when assembling. Be careful with screws and bolts, there are not extras of all parts. Use a star bit on drill rather than the cheap wrench they give you. Also need a Phillips screwdriver for small screws on latches. .Metal is sturdy. Directions are quite clear, make sure you follow the order! It is all drawings and is a little confusing sometimes. Took us a good 4 hours to assemble and we are both very versed in construction. The "bars" that run vertical around kennel are round conduit. Using this for poultry? need to add hardware cloth around perimeter. Doors are SHORT, I am 5'5" and have to duck. Whacked my head a few times. Stakes to anchor down are included, we are using longer ones for stability. Also, the roof has bracing just covered by tarp cover then. We are putting wire cloth over whole roof under tarp. To ensure raccoon or any other cannot get on roof and rip through tarp roof. For poultry purposes, not sure if I would buy again. It is way sturdier than the standard chicken wire runs but requires modifications. We are wrapping whole thing in hardware cloth and doors too. Latches are functional but a bit tiny. The picture is a little deceiving. The top is a soft top, not a hard top like some. Also the spaces between the slats are match larger then in the photo. So if you have a small or medium size dog they can just get right out. So I had to return and wayfair charges an obscene amount to return items! Costed me $80 to return this. We are hobby breeders and this floor was just what we were looking for to keep our puppies off the ground and safe when they are outside to play. We don’t have them fully installed in the second picture and in the first we have them fully installed but have a a ramp for the puppies to get in and out of their play building easily, and turf for them to potty on, over the top of the floors. But it’s great quality, strong, and it prevents animals from digging out of a kennel or digging period. It was a little tricky for some of the pieces to snap together since the ground we put it on wasn’t completely level. If using over concrete or a 100 level surface I imagine it would be a breeze. The floor is easy to clean and disinfect. It does tend to get scalding hot if in direct sun and temps over 80-85 degrees. But if shaded or cooler temps it’s perfect. Nothing that an awning or sun shade can’t fix. I’ve been looking into raised floors for a while but couldn’t justify the cost, but am happy I finally chose to do it. I would give these a 4.5 star rating. If it were easier to put together on slightly unlevel surfaces, and not so hot in direct sun, it would have earned a perfect 5 star rating!. Janell. We love this dog house. We have a 110 pound German shepherd who prefers being outside. I never grew up with an outdoor dog so I was extremely hesitant to move him full time to our backyard, but this dog house made it an easier choice. He’s super happy and so are we. One thing to note is the installation is very tricky. We thought we could do it ourselves but we ended up paying someone 700 to build it for us.
