Man becomes the machine in this figure collection. Inspired by Schlemmer's "Triadisches Ballett," these figurines take the artist's avant-garde aesthetic and show the heart behind human impulses. This highly stylized collection illustrates the ethos of the human body as abstract art. The play on Schlemmer's fantastic costuming is seen here in each piece, constructed from a mix of cast iron, iron wire, and sheet brass with painted gold details.

Looks stunning on my built-in. Love it!. Carol. Wilmette, IL. Wed Oct 14 2026

Set of two verdigris brass patina birds with tiger penshell inlaid accents.

For 30 years Maitland-Smith has been in the business of creating exquisite and unique decorative accessories, lighting, and accent furniture. Their design roots, however, go much deeper. Antiques from 17th and 18th century England have always played an important role early in their history; inspiring designs that captured the appearance and quality of the originals. Over time, however, they have found that their designs have evolved and today incorporate style, materials, and methods found in many other parts of the world.

This 2-piece set of vase sculptures is as much a piece of modern art as they are a vessel. Handmade from textured cast aluminum, each vase boasts a bronze finish and an irregular silhouette designed to draw the eye. We love that they can be used together, but also look great spread throughout your space to tie the look together. Although they look great indoors, they're also safe to use in a covered outdoor setting.

Others have indicated that the items were bright gold, but in my entertainment center they are bronze with some gold shimmer; the color probably varies depending on the lighting and background colors. They fill a large space very well.. Marianne. Philadelphia, PA. Thu Sep 17 2026
