Marble and Brass Figurine / Sculpture Decorative Object

Man becomes the machine in this figure collection. Inspired by Schlemmer's "Triadisches Ballett," these figurines take the artist's avant-garde aesthetic and show the heart behind human impulses. This highly stylized collection illustrates the ethos of the human body as abstract art. The play on Schlemmer's fantastic costuming is seen here in each piece, constructed from a mix of cast iron, iron wire, and sheet brass with painted gold details.
