It is the first piece of furniture in any home. There is nothing as warm and welcoming as a crackling fire in an open fireplace. Handcrafted from Asian hardwoods that take paint and stain beautifully. Mitered hanger board assembly included for easy installation. Light sanding and filling are recommended before paint or stain is applied.

Really great quality. But it’s HEAVY. The weight isn’t listed anywhere in the description, at least not when I purchased it. (I double checked to make sure.) I’m pretty handy, but there’s no way I can install this by myself. I’d also feel a little nervous about my 100 year old fireplace holding all of that weight. It’d probably be fine, but I know I’d be thinking about it. I bought a lighter mantel and installed it no problem. Still trying to figure how how to return this one…. Tv. Sun Sep 13 2026

Love the top of this fireplace!! It’s hollow but looks beautiful. We love the look of this fireplace even the original color looked nice. The other reviews are true the panels chip very easy at the corners but it wasn’t a problem for us bc we wanted a black fireplace. It’s kind of silly we bought this to paint it BUT we loved the look just not the color we wanted plus it was on sale and other black fireplaces were over 1500 dollars so we saved 800 with a little labor..
