I ordered the 50in linear electric fireplace for my bedroom and I love it. This is the second electric fireplace I have gotten and the other one I got was by a different brand and while I really like it, I like this one even more for its very subtle controls. I had to really zoom in so you can see them. From standing height you cannot see the switch and you cannot see the blacked out controls on the face of the fireplace. Arrived a day late but was well packed. Laid out in a way that the top pieces are the ones you need to assemble first. No digging for the next piece. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The firebox was less than we hoped for. The flames were not of high quality like we've had on a different electric fireplace we had, and it seems like it consists of a bulb inside a spinning drum to get the effect, which would be OK, but the spinning drum makes more noise than you'd expect and detracts from the whole effect. Summary: The mantel is awesome. The firebox, much less than awesome. Wish I could replace just the firebox with something better. Love the top of this fireplace!! It’s hollow but looks beautiful. We love the look of this fireplace even the original color looked nice. The other reviews are true the panels chip very easy at the corners but it wasn’t a problem for us bc we wanted a black fireplace. It’s kind of silly we bought this to paint it BUT we loved the look just not the color we wanted plus it was on sale and other black fireplaces were over 1500 dollars so we saved 800 with a little labor..
