Me and my husband put the bed together and we got it done in about an hour. Once together we realized that we needed a little more support for our foam mattress because the metal slats were not wide and had to much space between them to give good support. We just put the cardboard the frame came in on top of the frame and it worked great. The frame is very sturdy and i needed that support being over 200 lbs. Was easy to assemble. Took one person about 15-20 minutes. Seems very sturdy. If you place against wall I suggest adding felt pad on wall behind headboard balls to avoid scuffing wall. The only odd thing was the footboard sits slightly above floor (about 1 in). It’s the way it fits into fittings. It doesn’t affect function of bed frame as their are multiple supports underneath. Very disappointing, the bed I received does NOT have the same detail as the photos on the website. The vertical rungs on the head and footboard are smooth round pipe not the more sculpted detailed ones on the website. I might have picked another bed with more detail had I known. I purchased this bed for my guest room and it is perfect for that. I ordered the brown and tan color and its cery cute. The fabric is really soft, sort of velvety. As you can see, the mattress hasnt arrived yet but without the mattress, you can see how sturdy it is. Also, no foundation is needed. The bed does sit liw, so if you want a high bed, this isnt it. I do wish the headboard was higher because when I get the mattress, comforter and pulliws on it, you wont be able to see the headboard. But, for a guest room or a teens room, it will work great .
