I absolutely adore the look of copper, so when I was shopping for a chiminea and stumbled on this one, I had to have it. This was one of my first purchases from Wayfair, and I was expecting something to be wrong with something so big and heavy. I was pleasantly surprised that, after the easy assembly, there was only a very small, unnoticeable scrape on the lid. I made sure to read up on "seasoning" the chiminea before using it more extensively. Again, I was surprised that the chiminea fired up as expected with no issues. I think the only small issue I had was some of the paper kindling I used liked to float up through the top opening - I may add some mesh to prevent possible floating embers from escaping. Brayden Studio manufactures and utilizes industrial-strength tank heads for the bowls used in our fire pits. Tank heads are the end caps on cylindrically shaped pressure vessels. They generally comply with ASME standards because of the high pressures they must withstand for use with gas storage tanks and reactors.

The firepit took a few weeks to arrive, and was worth the wait. It is exactly as described and pictured. The only drawback is that the straps that secured it to the pallet rubbed the black finish off on all four sides so we will need to fix that as it is too heavy to return. It has a wider opening and lower dome that conducts heat directly to the oven floor. Our best-selling Pizzaioli model and the Buena Ventura are the most traditional of our wood-fired pizza ovens. But these ovens aren’t just for pizzas! They can cook anything your conventional oven can… and they’ll taste even better. Each oven comes with a beautiful complimentary Portuguese ceramic baking dish. It’s perfect for roasting chicken, veggies, casseroles, desserts, bread, and more! All of our brick ovens are HANDMADE in Portugal and are triple-insulated, which means the outside of the oven is cool to the touch while the inside is blazing hot! Each oven has an inner layer of brick and mortar, which is then covered with refractory cement. A thick layer of Rockwool Insulation is then applied and held down with metal batting before an additional layer of refractory cement.
