I love the unit for it's storage space and good working counter. However, the stainless part is not "stainless." It scratches and stains easily. Overall pretty simple to put together…. Took me about 1.5 hours, but I put the towel bar and wheels on after the legs since my kitchen is tight on space and wasn’t sure they would work. Smaller hands make assembly a bit easier since some of the connections are in not easily assessable areas. The long and medium bolts are the same length! The Allyn wrench provided is too long, so used a smaller one I had that worked better for me. Very easy to put together with only one person. Stores quite a bit. When the leaf is extended, you have a nice, large workspace. We were pleasantly impressed by the build quality of this kitchen island. The Wayfair assembly tech was professional and assembled the island in good order. It will definitely meet our needs. Beautiful and Functional Kitchen Island I’m very happy with the overall look and functionality of this kitchen island. It feels sturdy, provides helpful storage, and the drop leaf gives us extra counter space when needed without taking up too much room. There were a few small dents and scratches on the tabletop, which was disappointing for a brand-new item. So glad I ordered this island. It really is beautiful. Came with all parts and clear visual instructions. I put it together myself. It took me about 4 hours but I double checked the instructions before screwing the pieces together. I’m not really going to use it for food prep so don’t know how that would work.
