We purchased three oak cabinets to make a buffet. All came in perfect shape due to excellent packaging. Instructions are easy to follow pictures, but we found that putting hinges on panels 2 and 3, right from the start made it easier to put doors on at the end, since it’s hard to screw on when everything is put together. The trick at the end is to make sure the hinges are in closed position then place door holes over hinge, as if the door was completely closed. Then slowly open the door and the hinge will be in correct position to screw the remaining screws on door backside. Also double check that panel 5 is in correct position with locking mechanism near panel 4, otherwise you will have the holes of the mechanism on the top side of the shelf when finished and will have to use oak stickers to cover up the silver hardware. These were slightly overpriced, in my opinion, but ultimately exactly what we needed--we had a height restriction, as well as a desired depth--and are serving us nicely. Assembly note: you have to drill holes in the doors, for the hinges, and I was a little worried that was going to lead to issues, but it worked out fine...I didn't have to adjust the doors at all, really (maybe I got lucky). Otherwise, these look great and do their job admirably! (tip: I used some of the cardboard from the box to support them on the carpet...without it, they weren't sitting quite straight / evenly). I don't understand why you need three screws for each hinge door and then three additional screws to attach to the side panel for EACH hinge. Two is the standard for a reason. 2) Don't understand why most of the screws are black, the door stoppers are brown, and the magnets and door screws are silver. This cabinet is just the right fit for what we are using it for, a liquor cabinet. The color is gorgeous and the size just right. However it isn’t quite as stable as I would like so we might try to attach it to the wall if possible. Also, while moving the shelves, be aware that the little silver things that hold them up can fall causing the other shelf to fall if you move them. Going to look for better hardware for that. Just received this product yesterday, quick shipping. I bought two to replace my nightstands for extra shoe storage. Love the color. Sturdy and heavy. I put them together by myself, took about 3hrs. Doors are a little complicated to adjust to get them perfectly even but with a little patience and tweeking (as noted in the directions) they turned out great. Other photos show gaps in the doors when closed or not even when installed. There is a way to adjust these one hanging easily but the reviewers must not have followed these last directions. I tried to get a close up of the doors in the picture. You can see they turned out even after tweaking and patiences based on very last instructions that clearly others skipped.. Rebecca.
