I am a woman and put this together myself sitting on the floor the whole assembly. It is packaged very well and I had a time getting it out of the box. The predrilled holes were a little hard to find but following the instructions line by line showed them after using my cell phone flashlight. The assembly was not difficult. The most challenging part was putting the back cover on as it did not have predrilled holes. After trying to drill the screws with no predrilled holes, I settled on McGyvering the back panel and it is just as good and Im satisfied. The cabinet is sturdy. Well made and looks good and compliments other items I have in my home. I bought this cabinet for bedside books and stow away for things I always put on dresser to clear clutter. Overall happy with bookcase as it serves it's purpose. Nice and heavy but there in lies a problem as it ships in 1 package. Packaging looked very rough and delivered with a corner damaged. FedEx driver warned me it was unusually heavy and helped me carry it into house. Luckily you can't see the damage as it's on bottom unless you're looking for it. Nitpicking wise the top trim piece does not line up flush and isn't adjustable as guide piece is glued on so it sits a little crooked on top. Again overall happy with product, would buy again..
