This bed is beautiful. I absolutely love it. I must say, though, it is not wood. It is more like a composite (like composite deck material) with the wood grain stamped into it. I was under the impression it was real teak, and that justified the price in my mind. This is why I gave it just 4 stars, rather than 5. So if you're looking for real wood, please keep looking. Lovely and nicely crafted but very heavy (80 lbs.) Barclay Butera mirror from his Malibu collection looks lovely hanging in an alcove near our dining table. One cautionary note: Suggest possibility of hiring a professional to hang this one after my husband made several concentrated efforts. Rather than using one 100 lb. hook, he finally wired the mirror through the D rings and hung the wire on three 100 lb. hooks so the weight would be more evenly distributed. By the way, we were concerned about the sheetrock being unable to support the weight of the mirror, so he first placed a 1 x 6 board behind the mirror before applying the hooks.
