The instructions were straightforward and the assembly process was mostly easy. The table feels solid, looks nice, and was a great deal. However, the two metal lifting mechanisms included with my package did not match. Only one of them lined up with the diagram on the instructions, and neither one lined up correctly with the screw holes in the table. Ultimately I used a power drill and simply screwed them in as well as I could (I did not want to deal with a back-and-forth attempt at replacements). Now the top panel does not line up completely perfectly with the corners of the table when closed, but fundamentally it works fine and rests level. We recently had new floors installed and are slowly replacing all of our living room furniture. This is the first piece we purchased, and I assembled it by myself. The small screwdriver included with it eventually gave me blisters, so I switched to one we already owned. Attaching the top piece was a little tricky at first, but once I realized it was easier to lie on my back underneath the table to insert the screws, the rest was easy. I am editing my review after a couple of days of use and “sitting” with our purchase. Pros, I like the design element and details of the piping along the front and rear of the table. It gives great movement. I like the fact that the table has large storage space and functionality. I like how large the table is. I don’t care that the table itself doesn’t look or feel like real wood. It looks like particle board and has a hollow sound when you tap the top of it. It also wears fingerprints easily so I am going to have to constantly wipe down the table. That is why I gave 45 stars. I love the look of this. It has built in charger ports but I haven’t been able to use the led or charger yet because the plug isn’t long enough and I don’t want to run an extension cord.
