10” thick mattresses of good quality are hard to find especially in local stores. Serta came through on this one. Definitely not too soft. May add a topper later. Great mattress! I have chronic back pain due to scoliosis. I initially purchased a dreamcloud firm mattress and it felt too soft. Swapped it for this one and I couldn’t be happier!
