I have had spinal surgery and need a firm mattress to support my back. The mattress would probably be great for many people, but I would not call this firm despite being labeled as such. I loved that I received the item within 24 hours. Unfortunately, upon receipt of the item, the bottom of the box was opened. Also the mattress is not cut true to size.
