I was on the fence about this protector before receiving. I have always used a mattress pad, but with my new mattress I was sleeping consistently hotter than usual. Well I called where I purchased my mattress and they explained most pads are made with fiber fill and that retains heat not allowing the mattress to breath. So I researched my mattress brand and got same answers. I found the Tempur Breeze protector to be the most mentioned. Yes the price did scare me I had just spent quite a bit on the mattress and now another 300. Well I did it and do not regret one minute. I sleep cooler and more comfortable. And yes it is water proof I tested it to see. It’s incredibly soft and plush, but unlike other soft mattresses I’ve tried, you don’t sink in so much that it’s hard to move or roll over. It feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud, but with just the right amount of support underneath, so I wake up feeling rested and without aches. I've been sleeping on it for about a month now and have no issues waking up with a sore back, shoulders, or neck! A couple of things to keep in mind: this mattress is very tall, about 16", so you’ll need deep pocket sheets and a deep mattress protector, and it’s also very heavy, which makes changing the sheets a bit of a workout. Even with those quirks, the comfort is outstanding. If you want a mattress that’s truly soft and plush but still supportive and durable, I can’t recommend this one enough.. Maribenz_9855.
