Have had my eye on this light for a while, but it was rarely in stock. I grabbed one as soon as it became available again and couldn’t be happier with it! It adds such a luxurious and refined look to our space and instantly elevated the room. It is a dark brown stain, looks black to the eye standing back. I’m docking one star because it arrived with a crack in one of the wooden brackets connecting to the shade. Thankfully, Wayfair customer service made it right and worked with us on a solution so we could repair it ourselves without needing to return the entire fixture. Without exaggeration I have removed and replaced at least 100 light fixtures in my time and this has to be one of the easiest I ever have installed. The domed canopy cover on the fixture allows for it to be easily attached to the mounting strap on the outlet box so you dont have to struggle trying to tuck excess wire into the junction box. The fixture was easily installed in 5 minutes. My only problem was with the globe style shade. It does not fit over a standard size bulb. I knew that from reading the reviews and had purchased the bulb recommended by other reviewers. Unfortunately that didnt work either. I had to resort to a standard base candle type bulb. The fixture will only handle 40 w Max so do not depend on this fixture for more than ambient lighting. I still love the style and it works for me. I consider it a good value for the money.. Sandra.
