These are medium duty stair treads. This is my second purchase, the first set were used on my back stairs and have held up nicely for almost a year and a half and still perform and look good. I stapled them on the back stairs, but don't recommend doing that, the cheapo staples rusted. I used double-sided Gorilla tape on the current installation, I'll revisit this review in a year or so and report on how well the adhesion method held up.. Heather. Big Island, Hawaii. This stair tread is an affordable and eco-friendly solution to slippery stairways. Staircases both indoors and outdoors can make people susceptible to slips, trips, and falls on a regular basis. For commercial business owners, this can result in property damage, costly medical bills, or disastrous liability cases. You can protect the sensitive surface of your stairs while preventing injuries to those traveling on them with this rubber stair tread. This heavy-duty rubber stair tread is specially designed to maximize safety and protection on commercial stairways. This durable mat for stairs is made from a blend of natural and reclaimed rubber materials to give them excellent resistance to abrasions, moisture, and weather. These qualities allow the rubber steps to withstand heavy foot traffic and exceed in outdoor applications. The key feature of this stair tread is the unique “Diamond-Plate” pattern, which is comprised of thin protrusions to enhance traction and provide a clean industrial aesthetic. The protrusions alternate in a direction to offer multi-directional slip-resistance even when the stairs are wet. Whether you need to increase safety for the season or year-round, this tread will provide superior protection.

Upgrade your stairs with heavy-duty bullnose stair treads designed to provide reliable safety, traction, and durability for outdoor steps, porches, decks, patios, garages, and RV stairs. Each tread features a molded 1-inch bullnose lip that wraps securely over the front edge of your steps, reinforcing the area where slips and trips are most likely. This integrated bullnose improves grip and adds a polished, professional look, making your stairs safer and more reliable than standard flat mats or diamond-plate stair treads. These rubber stair treads deliver superior non-slip performance in wet, muddy, or snowy conditions. They maintain traction on rough surfaces like concrete, brick, stone, and textured RV steps, while also working on smooth surfaces such as wood, painted steps, tile, or metal when securely fastened with tape, adhesive, or screws. Constructed from thick, weather-resistant rubber, these stair treads resist cracking, splitting, and curling, remaining flexible in freezing temperatures and durable under intense heat. Their all-weather construction ensures long-lasting performance even under heavy foot traffic, making them ideal for both residential and commercial applications. These stair treads are designed to fit standard stair edges, providing a reliable solution for most porches, decks, basements, and RV stairs. Steps with oversized or decorative noses may require flat-edge treads, though those lack the edge protection and grip provided by the bullnose design. Installation is simple, and maintenance is low-effort: just shake off dirt, rinse with water, or clean with mild soap. The non-porous rubber surface resists mold, mildew, and stains, keeping your steps safe and ready for daily use. Ideal for homeowners, RV owners, and commercial spaces, these bullnose stair treads deliver a combination of edge safety, superior traction, durable outdoor performance, and easy maintenance. Choosing these treads ensures that your stairs are safer, more stable, and longer-lasting than standard flat mats or diamond-plate step covers. Whether you’re upgrading porch steps, deck stairs, garage entries, or RV and camper steps, these stair treads are the smart, reliable solution for any surface.

It sounds like some customers are expecting too much or haven't read the description. This is a "temporary" solution, even though it is also billed as durable and long lasting. This is not intended to be a decorating highlight. I ordered two, cut them to fit, and they were lifesavers during construction/remodeling of a two-story home. While they will not fit tight to stairs without reinforcement, they do however stay pretty securely in place, and literally saved my cream carpeted stairs from potential extreme damage and wear from contractors, movers, and us during a very dirty period for the house. Caught so much dirt, washable, didn't look great, but served the purpose of temporarily protecting the carpet in a superior way. Due to the foam backing, it did not shift (not much - had to be periodically readjusted) under the feet of movers carrying hundreds of pounds upstairs with no tears or holes like plastic or paper. No need for damaging and difficult adhesive. When used as a temporary solution, an excellent option to protect your home. Only 4 stars just because it can shift and bunch a little and can't think of a real solution for that. Still, a lifesaver - was glad to pay the money to protect expensive carpet.. Suzette. These are amazing! I have slipped down our all wood tread stairs twice. The first time, I broke a coupla ribs. The second time I slipped I was three stairs from reaching the carpeted basement, holding our puppy. This last time I was just furious and fed up with them. I called a carpet place immediately and had someone come out to provide a bid for a runner but then? I just thought I'd check Wayfair. . . Wow. I am SO happy I did and with the help of all the five-star reviews on these, I ordered the closest color and best pattern. They are amazing!!! They adhere well to the treads, they fit the bullnose and I no longer have to clutch the railing like my life depends on it. Not to mention our little furry friend will be more likely to learn to go up and down, with these in place. If this is an item you need? Just buy them. Figure out which ones look best because they probably won't match your existing carpet, and then love your stairs. Also our steps are varying widths. We center the top stair in each flight, and then used a pattern to make sure the distance on the left side (in the image) was consistent. I am a discerning customer and it was important to me that these looked good and felt good under foot. They do both. With a nice finished edge all around, they lay flat and the adhesive makes them grip firmly.. Sue Brandon. Fort Lauderdale, FL. Tue Oct 20 2026
