It was perfect for storing my sewing machine and the depth is great as it doesn't up too much room. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the screws for the drawer knobs didn't fit correctly so I had to use two other small screws that I had on hand. This is totally perfect for what I needed it for. I was looking for a small shelving unit to use under my shelf in my master closet. I did not want soft sided drawers and this is great!!!
