These chairs are compact but sturdy. I love the Mid Century Modern look to them. Unboxing was a bit frustrating—the Styrofoam crumbled everywhere, creating quite a mess, and the screws were taped to it, which made cleanup even more difficult when removing them. During assembly, pieces F and G (the lower cross bracing) were especially tricky to align, and many of the screws didn’t line up easily with the predrilled holes. Step 10 was particularly challenging, as there were no predrilled holes for those screws, making installation much harder than expected. For a moment, we honestly regretted buying them because the first one was so frustrating to put together. But once we figured out the correct way to assemble them, it really wasn’t that bad. I wanted something with cushion, not bulky, easy to wipe off and would fit and move nicely in and out around the table. These are the chairs you want! Beautiful console but those hinges are hard to align. Setup was fairly easy until it got to the cabinet and hinge. I am still unable align them. So keep that in mind before assembling it yourself.
