Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. I really like this little table and chairs. With the drop leaves it fits well in our small apartment. The quality is good. No scratches or dings upon arrival. Sturdy, well made and easy to assemble. 30 minutes max. The table top is darker than I had hoped. Was looking for more of a clear/natural finish and this has more of a colonial brown stain on the top. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because I wasn’t expecting the seam down the middle for the table top (but seems to come with the round table territory ) also the instructions could’ve been a little clearer when it came to the drawer but otherwise easy build - feels sturdy so far and looks beautiful just as described! The pedestal for the table to sit on is attractive and easy enough to put together if you turn it sideways and not straight up and down, the top was easy to assemble, but there seems to be less than perfection in the adjoining pieces of the two table tops and whatever I tried, I could not get the entire length to close completely however, it’s still beautiful. We put a runner down the length of the seam in the two tops and you can’t see it and it feels really strong and sturdy and as attractive and easy enough to assemble if you have some Mechanical ability that’s all..
