For homeowners with spacious inground or large above-ground pools up to 16,000 gallons, the WA-17 EVI inverter pool heat pump unlocks year-round swimming comfort you could only dream of with outdated single-speed heaters. Traditional pool heating equipment shuts down or struggles to perform in cold fall and early spring weather, limiting your usable pool time to just summer months—our advanced EVI low-temperature inverter technology eliminates that restriction entirely, delivering reliable heating performance even at outdoor temperatures as low as -13°F.
This dual-function unit delivers customizable heating from 59°F to 104°F for crisp, cool weather swimming, plus cooling down to 42.8°F to take the edge off blistering summer heat, so your pool water always hits your preferred comfort level regardless of outdoor weather conditions. Where this heat pump truly shines is its unbeatable energy efficiency, with a maximum COP rating of 14.86 that drastically cuts your monthly pool utility expenses: up to 40% savings compared to gas pool heaters, and a massive 70% reduction in operating costs when replacing propane heating setups.
Noise pollution is a common complaint with bulky pool heaters, but our optimized silent fan blade design caps operating sound at just 50 decibels. You can host backyard barbecues, let your pets lounge beside the unit overnight, or unwind poolside at dusk without constant loud machinery hum disrupting your peace. The automated adaptive defrost cycle handles cold-weather frost buildup completely hands-off, cycling every 40 minutes with a quick 5-minute purge to maintain steady heat output with zero manual maintenance needed.
Built-in WiFi smart connectivity eliminates the hassle of walking outside to adjust temperature or working modes. Pull out your phone to switch between heating, cooling, spa, and auto modes, set exact target water temperatures, activate quiet night mode, program automatic on/off timers, and monitor the unit’s auto defrost function remotely from any location with cell service.
Engineered for permanent outdoor backyard installation, the matte black cabinet features professional anti-UV coating to resist years of direct sunlight damage, preventing discoloration and brittle cracking over time. The all-inclusive installation kit removes the need for separate hardware runs to home improvement stores, supplying shock-absorbing rubber pads to cut vibration transfer, a condensate drainage joint, an anti-UV protective cover for off-season storage, and a detailed illustrated user manual for simple DIY setup. Compatible with standard 220-240V 60Hz household power outlets.
