Love the chair!!!! I was looking at a similar chair at Room & Board but it was $3200. The price is great, the quality is awesome too. Some people complained about the recline, it reclines fine. There are three settings on the chair and they all lock in place. I think some people are trying to recline between the 2nd and 3rd position and yes it doesn’t lock because its between the position. Beautiful, sturdy, and well-built recliner. The fabric and wood look exactly like the photos. It comes in two pieces and assembly is simple, but it’s quite heavy, so you’ll likely need help getting it into place. I’m taking off one star because of the packaging. The back legs aren’t protected, and mine arrived cracked. The first one I received had a completely broken leg and had to be returned. Given the size and weight of the box, this feels like an avoidable issue. The reclining mechanism is a bit stiff at first and can catch you off guard, but I expect that to improve with use. Overall, it’s an elegant chair that fits well with different decor styles. One heads-up: unpacking takes some effort. I am in love with just how darn cute this chair is! Arrived well packed, took 20 minutes to assemble (very easy) and the grey stripe pattern matches the posting very well. A 360 degree finished look. Few things 1. Box is heavy - need two people to carry inside 2. The chair cushion is firm but comfy - and because of that, I find sits a bit high. Am hoping with time seat cushion will mellow a bit. 3. My husband and I are both under 6’ I can see if you are taller than that the chair especially in reclined mode will not fit you well. 4. The chair does fully recline to an almost horizontal mode you just need to pull the chair away from the wall if you have it close to allow space. The Ansleigh manual push-back recliner is activated by merely pushing on the arms of the reclining chair and it will simultaneously activate both the footrest and chair-back into a TV or reading position. Further pressure applied to the arms will move the chair into a fully reclined position.
