I chose this bedframe based on the solid wood look from the photos. It did take two people an hour to assemble. The directions online are a bit more detailed than the ones that come in the box. Luckily, all the parts and pieces were accounted for. The wooden slats that will hold the mattress are rather warped and twisted. There are a few wooden dowels imbedded in the frame that line up with a few of the slats. As you can see from the photo, if you get one side to sit on the dowel, the other side is not making contact. I would have loved to give this bed 5 stars, but for two reasons I could not. First, the legs are not even. I followed the directions to a T and there is definitely uneven legs.
