All hardware included except a philips head screwdriver that you won't need if you use a screw gun for slats only. The only real drawback is the headboard height. It’s a bit low, so any mattress taller than about 12 inches will mostly hide it. If you prefer a visible headboard, stick with a lower-profile mattress or plan to add pillows for a layered look. The bed took a bit to put together, but was overall straightforward with its directions. The materials are nice and it looks beautiful when finished.
