It’s a good, high quality knife overall, but I have other knives in the under $100 range that are comparable or better. So while it’s a good product, I am not convinced it has the best value proposition. Cons: just after a few weeks of very light use, the knife did not pass the tomato test - it was very tough to cut through even cherry tomatoes. Purchased at an open-box discount. All knives were included. Some showed some residue from possible prior use, but that washed off without issue. The knives themselves are beautiful, feel great in the hand, and cut well. However, I found that the santoku and paring knife have a curve down the spine of the blade. Beautiful knife hits well above its price point. I have been owning and using Japanese knives in professional kitchens for the better part of 3 decades and this knife performs as well or better than knives from misono, Masahiro and others and costs far less.
