When they were built this was originally supposed to be a patio and they enclosed it for additional living space. I made it an office which isnt completed yet! I love how they hug the ceiling and they come with two remote controls which is super handy when walking into the room when dark. I keep one in my living room and one on the desk. It also has a day and night on it for bright or soft. When I ordered them I felt they were a little expensive, but when I got them, I feel they are well worth the expense! This is a beautiful lamp but just don’t feel like it worked in our space. The cord is black and against our off white walls was just too harsh of a contrast. Guys you better get you one of these!!! This was the perfect size , shape and color for my apartments’ small kitchen island also from Wayfair. The layers aren’t connected and lined with plastic I think this is to add to the lumosity. Overall it’s pretty light and thin in its construction but not in a way that would make me think it would be easy to break. It came with all the parts that you would need to have them be connected to the ceiling with ample length in the wire. The dimmer is really nice.
