I’ve been wanting something like this for a while. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Something very sturdy to hold my heavier cats something I’m not gonna worry is going to tip over. Easy to put together and lots of room for all my kids. It took them a little bit to get used to it and start climbing on it. I sprayed it with catnip spray and that helped a lot. Feels a little cheap for 600. Dont get me wrong, it has been incredibly well packaged and good instructions, it just feels like they could have done better with the pieces and build (Pieces are most friction fit - apologize to your neighbors in advance for all the hammering youll do). The trim pieces just look a little bit too printed on and not as nice as on the photos (could have at least matched to wood color better). Additionally, there is quite a bit of noise come from the shelves when the cats move up and down. I think that may be unavoidable because of how open the cat bedrooms are. "The directions were not great for building this, but we were able to get through it. It took about 2 hours with 2 people. But the tree itself is so wonderful I'm not taking stars away because of the instructions. The tree is heavy and sturdy, with lots of shelves for climbing, a little house at the bottom, and my cats adore the hanging toys—those won't last long! My picture shows three large-breed kittens playing on it, and there is still room! There are little adjusters on the bottom to level it and they work great—despite the jumping around of these heavy kittens, this tree didn't wobble at all. I love pet products that are easy to clean. Traditional options with glued carpet are a nightmare because I have to pull out a steamer. But any soft surface on this model can be removed and thrown in the wash! That is a huge bonus for me! Finally, it's a very attractive piece of furniture! Form and function both! I've been trying to find something to put in my front entryway that also looks nice, and this fits the bill perfectly!". The bottom metal piece is extremely heavy and it is so difficult to screw in the 3 metal bars from the bottom. The screws took forever to get going and were very difficult to screw in. When we used a drill, it snapped the screw in half. There’s no soft surface for the cats either, you have to put something separate on top. This item is easy to put together even though the instructions, which are just pictures, are a bit confusion. Once you put it together it feels very sturdy and everything on it is sized kist rogjt fpr pir bog kitty. She can really make herself comfortable in the snuggly hammock and the extra wide perch.
