I thought the black shades had yellow metal inside, but they are fully black. This actually turned to advantage as they reflect any color light bulb you put inside. Well this lamp shade has many problems. It requires assembly. That wouldn't be bad by itself but the clips on the lampshade do not even fully wrap around the lampshade frame. So they don't hold the lampshade and the frame just falls out all of the time. Not sure how this got through quality control honestly. You can't even place it on the lamp base without it all falling apart. Including photos to show how bad the clips are. The sizing of the opening is too large for my lamp but using one adapter in a different way under the frame allowed it sit on the lamp. I used needle nose pliers on the tiny clamps to try to keep the shade on the frame. Lets see if it holds but will likely return.
