This is a beautiful ceiling fan for my living room! I decided to change out the fan from a white one to black. It is very attractive and has great fan speeds. The LED light is integrated and gives off a warm glow. If you are looking for something brighter, you might want a different light that gives off more than 3000k, but for us I'm sure it will work. It takes about an hour to install, but make sure that you buy your downrod ahead of time. We needed a 36 inch rod, with a matt black finish. Overall, I am happy with this product.. Linda. Install was pretty easy, except the wiring forced us to use only the remote and we can no longer use our wall switch, which is a bummer. I like that the remote allows for dimming the light and the fan has 6 settings. Very quiet motor even on highest setting. Also, we did not have to adjust the blades at all. I needed a fan for my loft that would help circulate the air for efficiency in heating and cooling. But, I don't really like the look of most ceiling fans and didn't need to have lights in it. So, I ordered this with reservations because it is so expensive. However, it really looks nice, is well balanced so it doesn't wobble one bit, and it is absolutely silent when it's on. My electrician said it's very good quality, was straight forward to install, and has a good motor. There is a remote control I can use to regulate speed and direction, which comes with a holder that can be installed on the wall next to the switch so it is less likely to get lost.
