Lubricate Stub Out Nipple (B) about 1"" with Silicone Grease.3. Slide the new tub spout (A) onto the Stub Out Nipple (B) until it touches the wall.4. Using the supplied Allen Wrench, tighten Screw (C) until it touches Stub Out Nipple, then tighten 1/2 to 1 full turn to secure Tub Spout (A) onto Stub Out Nipple (B).5. Turn the shower ""ON"". its stunning, sleek and just what I had hoped for. My only complaint is that its not actually "Made in Germany". Of all the coordinating pieces it varies between Mexico and Thailand. The only thing truly made in Germany was the hand held shower with bar. When this arrived the back plate was noticeably scratched and dented, I contacted Wayfair righ away and per email was told that a replacement has been shipped. This tub spout has a push and pulls rear diverter and an inside thread that connects to a 3/4 inch IPS. A 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch bushing is included. 5-1/4 inch total length. The length of the pipe (nipple) that is coming out from your wall should be 1/2" to 3/4" to avoid a gap between the wall and the edge of the spout. Metal construction stainless steel.
