This adapter is wonderful. If you’re thinking about getting it, just get it. It’s easy to put on. It’s a plate that goes under the main plate does not go facing down. It goes facing up.. the instructions is for about three different handles in the Delta family, however, the plate will be facing up, but you have to look at it very closely, it went on with a breeze.. This shower trim kit comes with a Temptrol Pressure Balancing Mixing valve with the VersaFlex™ Integral Diverter, which allows you to adjust the volume of water coming out of your showerhead. The lever handle on this trim turns in the direction of the hot and cold indicators to adjust the water temperature in your shower. The secondary handle on the cover plate controls the volume of water coming from your showerhead. This assembly comes with everything needed for installation. This shower escutcheon and handle shower trim set is durable and functional and backed by a limited lifetime warranty and our technical support team.

My 20-year old shower was leaking out the shower head even after replacing the mixer cap (rotating valve). Then I bought this, the pressure balancing unit (PBU) and after replacing both, there are no leaks and it works better than new. Kohler will say that this PBU is not the solution to a leaky shower head, but it was for me. Watch the Kohler installation video and buy both this PBU and the temperature regulator and you will be good as new. The parts change out quickly and easily with simple tools. I purchased this to replace a pre-existing delta shower handle and my only complaint is that the handle in the off setting falls in between the hot and cold water symbols, as opposed to pointing towards 6 o’clock when the water is off. My plumbers told me that that is a Delta limitation as opposed to this faucet limitation So when you turn the water on, it goes all the way to approximately 11 o’clock in past the hot water symbol, which is approximately at 3 o’clock.
