We were so excited to install this exhaust fan in our kids’ bathroom! The fan itself is beautiful and feels very well made, and I was especially impressed by how carefully and securely everything was packaged. It arrived in perfect condition and definitely feels like a quality product. Unfortunately, once we got into the installation, we discovered it just isn’t going to work in our particular space. This unit is a little larger than a standard bathroom vent fan, which requires enlarging our existing ceiling opening. After removing the old fan, we found that the nearby air duct, vent, and electrical wiring make it impossible for us to safely enlarge the opening enough to accommodate the new unit. We’re genuinely disappointed we can’t use it because we were really looking forward to the upgraded features in our kids’ bathroom. This is not an issue with the product itself at all, just an unfortunate limitation of our existing construction. Adjustable in so many ways -- except one. You can change the color temperature, LED colors, light pattern and music volume, but the fan itself is just one speed. I didn't notice this before buying but that's my fault for not looking closely enough. I'm also skeptical of the 35 decibel level advertised in the specifications. I have a dishwasher advertised as 42 decibels and it's so quiet I can barely tell that it's running. This fan, by contrast, is certainly noticeable. I'm not saying it's loud by any stretch, but it's certainly louder than expected. Finally, the exterior construction does not have a particularly "solid" feeling. I'm sure it's fine, as it doesn't have any moving parts beyond the fan, but you might want to take a little extra care to make sure it's securely installed (to a stud, for example, rather than just through the drywall). Replaced a 20+ year old (maybe older) 655 unit. This new one was a perfect fit. Size was the exact same, so installation was very easy. We have a small bathroom, so this heats the room very well. The fan and the light are great, I have an issue with the wall control white plate, It won't clip to stay on. I'm also having a hard time finding the model. I bought it yesterday, everything else went super smooth except the last little step. Can you tell me where I can find the white part that goes under the cap that is used to clip the cap?.
