Relatively sleek looking unit but this requires professional installation which is key! Planning to install in my kids' rooms just in time for the summer. Also, great that this is a split unit that can also heat in the winter - years ago, we had another pump that wouldn't heat if the temp <31 degrees F, making it pointless. This is far more heavy duty than the exhaust hose that originally came with my portable AC unit. It appears to work in a clockwise direction. The ribs are metal reinforced There appears to be wiring in it, whereas my other one was simply plastic accordion. I’m exceptionally pleased with the quality and the size is perfect. My original one disintegrated because of the heat after about four years. This one I expect to last at least that long or longer based on how much thicker it is than the original.. Natalie.
