This is just stunning at night! It is made of a very delicate metal, and the dragonfly design is gorgeous. It looks like a jarred lantern, and its empty inside. I dont see a way to open it. They provided extra lighting, as well as a festive atmosphere, and looked very cute hanging above our garage door, in the vine. Paired them with other solar-powered lights both on the ground, as well as fairy string lights in our bushes. The bright pink added a great touch of color. I definitely would recommend these - they are fun and add a creative touch to your decorating. The lantern size globe is nice in the large size. Wow, this is a beautiful lantern. Arrived very securely packaged. I found the same item on another (much more expensive) website before I found the exact same thing here at a substantially better price (kicking myself over that one). This lantern is just beautiful in both day and night environments, but especially at night, when the colors reflect on the surface the lantern is sitting on. The solar bulb is bright, allowing for the beautiful reflective design. The thickness of the glass is substantial -- it doesn't feel like it will break easily. At dusk, they literally pop up and light up, giving you lights along a pathway, driveway, deck, or dock that aren't in your way during the day. Prior to first use, charge the light for two sunny days. If battery capacity reduces over time, switch the light off for 3-5 sunny days in order to boost the batteries. Weather will affect the lights' working time.

These lights are perfect for my needs. Elegant design, warm and bright diffused light, and long battery life per charge with solar or USB-C backup. Love them. One heads-up: the instructions never explain how to activate the automatic dusk-to-dawn mode. The feature is there. There's an integrated twilight sensor built right in, but Rosendahl leaves you to figure it out yourself. Customer service told me the fix: hold the power button for a few seconds until the light flashes, and you're in auto mode. Works perfectly once you know. Highly recommend.
