It was SUPER easy to put together. It had the same screws basically for everything, so it was hard to mess up. It does come in a lot of pieces, however, the slats will come in the smaller box that gets delivered which is nice. It took me about 1.5 hours with help. The tracking of the shipment was also super convenient and accurate. I was thrown off with the staircase handrail, it’s not very kid friendly to hold onto because it’s low. It does squeak a little bit when my girls climb the stairs, and can sway easy. That’s the only reason I took a star away. Otherwise it is perfect for my 2 and 3 year old to share!. Katie. Really nice bed…very sturdy once it was completed…the instructions could be a little clearer for putting the slats on the trundle and storage rack, but otherwise really easy to set up. We absolutely love these bunk beds! We’ve had them for a couple of years now, and they have held up really well. We especially love how versatile they are. You can easily convert them into two separate beds, and the ability to change the ladder placement has been so convenient as our kids’ room and needs have changed. The drawers underneath have been a total lifesaver for storage, especially in a kids’ room where you can never have enough! And the railing on the top bunk is perfect for our oldest. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing she has that extra security while sleeping up top. My only complaint, and the reason I’m knocking off a star, is that for the price, I expected the overall quality and finish to be just a little better. We have some noticeable marks and fading where the drawers open and close, and the wood/finish has dented and gotten marked up fairly easily over the years. It’s not anything that affects the functionality, but for how much these cost, I would expect them to look a little better after normal everyday use. That being said, they are VERY sturdy, and I have never once worried about my kids’ safety while they’re sleeping in them, which honestly, is the most important thing to me. They’ve held up through years of kids climbing, playing, and sleeping in them, and overall we’ve been really happy with them. I just wish the finish was a little more durable for the price!. This product is really nice! Everything seems really sturdy and all the wood pieces fit nicely together, except for one stairs bar which won’t tighten fully and therefore is a little wobbly (I’ll be contacting the seller to hopefully get a replacement piece.)
