Like some of the other reviews mentioned, it does take some time, but I chose to build it in sections over two days, which made the process very manageable. I was able to assemble almost the entire bed myself. My husband only had to help me carry the bookcase sections upstairs because of their size. For the price, I think this bed is an excellent value. It completely changed the look and feel of my daughters room and gives her a fun, cozy setup that she genuinely enjoys. Even after airing out the room with the windows open for more than 24 hours, the smell remains overwhelming and is permeating beneath the closed door into my hallway and other rooms. The room is currently unusable. As a long-standing Wayfair customer, I have never experienced anything like this. Returning it would also be a tremendous hassle because I paid for professional assembly and would now need it disassembled and package item. I truly regret this purchase.
