I'm very happy with this bed. It slides away and unfolds very easily. It took a long time to put together, but the instructions were very clear and every piece lined up perfectly. It looks great in my room. I also bought a 6" folding mattress to go in it. I haven't tried to put it away in the cabinet yet, but when I measure, there appears to be plenty of room for it.. Linda. Happy with the purchase. Selected for my guest room to save space and it’s a great looking cabinet. I read the reviews and was prepared for a long assembly time and that held true. By myself total assembly time was around 7 hours. Found it less daunting breaking it up over 2 days. Went with a 10” mattress and slept on for two nights after assembly and found it very comfortable. Make sure you read the assembly instructions very carefully. There were a few times that I almost missed a key point that would have been a problem or a redo had I not caught it. Overall a beautiful and functional Murphy bed. Came well packaged in 2, heavy, boxes. As other reviews have stated, it takes a considerable amount of time to assemble, it took me a little over 3 hours. There were a couple steps that were a bit confusing and I had to go back and switch things around but for the most part, pretty good instructions overall. My only complaint is the bolts for the handles and knobs were just barely long enough, the first one I accidentally over tightened and it broke. Exercise extreme caution with the knobshandles.
