I love my toilet . Kohler products are on the expensive side however the quality is outstanding. My last Kohler was purchased 21 years ago. It was still working great. I decided to buy a new one to match my new tub .. Celeste. US. Tue Jun 09 2026

The sophistication of traditional Memoirs Stately design serves as the inspiration for the KOHLER® Memoirs collection. With its rich detailing, this suite of products echoes the stylized lines of historically renowned furniture and architectural design. Two styles offer different dignified interpretations - the clean, crisp lines of the Stately design, and the added rounded detail of the Classic style, which resembles crown molding. With fixtures and faucets available, the extensive Memoirs collection can accommodate both large and small bath and powder rooms.

The 17” ADA-compliant comfort height reduces strain on knees and back, while the elongated bowl provides ample seating space. Behind its sleek profile lies a powerful siphonic flush system that clears the bowl thoroughly with just 1.28 gallons (4.8L) per use—delivering strength without waste.

Wax Ring Was Terrible The included wax ring was low quality — it crumbled and failed to form a proper seal. I had to replace it with a better aftermarket wax ring to stop slow leaks and reduce odors. This added time and cost to the install that shouldn’t be necessary. Buy a high-quality wax ring with a rubber gasket or flange before installation — it’s almost essential with this toilet. One major let-down was the toilet seat lid It’s made of thin plastic that doesn’t feel sturdy. It flexes too much and doesn’t give a sense of durability. Compared to higher-end soft-close seats, this feels like the weakest part of the whole toilet. Side Screw Covers Do Not Fit This was one of the most frustrating parts The side covers that are supposed to hide the mounting screws do not fit. They won’t snap on or screw on properly. As a result, the mounting screws are fully visible, which ruins the clean, finished look the toilet is supposed to have This feels like a design or manufacturing defect, not user error.. Kim. The TOTO Carlyle II One-Piece Elongated 1.28 GPF Universal Height Toilet with CEFIONTECT features a sleek, one-piece design that will immediately enhance your bathroom. Carlyle II features TOTO’s TORNADO FLUSH®, a hole-free rim design with dual nozzles that creates a centrifugal washing action that assists in rinsing the bowl more efficiently. This version of the TOTO Carlyle II includes CEFIONTECT, a layer of ceramic glaze that minimizes waste from sticking to ceramic surfaces. This feature, coupled with TORNADO FLUSH®, assists in reducing the frequency of toilet cleanings, minimizing the usage of water, harsh chemicals, and time required for cleaning. The one-piece design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also offers the benefit of being easier to clean versus a two-piece toilet. By removing the gap between the tank and the owl, we eliminate the hiding place for dirt and debris. An additional benefit of the one-piece toilet is that there is no threat of leaks from bolts or gaskets that can occur in two-piece toilets. Skirted Design toilets also eliminate the need to reach behind the bowl to clean the nooks and crannies of the exterior trap way. This version of the Carlyle II offers TOTO T40 WASHLET®+ compatibility for when you are ready to upgrade. WASHLET®+ toilets feature a channel on the bowl surface to help conceal your WASHLET®+ supply line and power cord for seamless integration. The TOTO Carlyle II is designed in TOTO’s Universal Height, which allows for a more comfortable seat position across a wide range of users. The Carlyle II is ADA compliant and meets the standards for EPA WaterSense®, and California’s CEC and CALGreen requirements. The TOTO Carlyle II includes a tank-to-bowl gasket, tank-to-bowl hardware, toilet bolt caps, and a SoftClose toilet seat. Additional items needed for installation and use must be purchased separately: wax ring, toilet mounting bolts, water supply lines, and optional T40 WASHLET+ electronic bidet seat.
