Love my new trash can. The one I had was also from Wayfair, but it was wider and the step to open was in the front. I was tired of retouching the cabinet due to the lid always scuffing it. This one is slim design and taller. Holds the same amount of trash 13 gallons. Only this one opens towards a wall and all I have to do is pull it way from it so it doesn't hit it. I didn't have that option with the other one that is now on by back patio. This is perfect for a small kitchen and not having to give up and trash space. Came quickly too. The rectangular stainless-steel can with removable liner bin fits any brand of 13-gallon trash bags. Its convenient design allows it to be placed right against a wall or cabinet, and the fingerprint-resistant finish keeps it clean longer.

We are obsessed with this trash can! So easy, so functional, and really pretty too. The only thing, and almost worth a star, is that we don’t understand why the back isn’t fully flat. The battery of the lid juts out in back, and there is all this extra space behind where the bag and inner compartment rests. Even if the battery pack needs to jut out, they could still easily shave an inch off the depth of this given all the extra space, which would make this even more attractive and perfect. We love it though, just be prepared to know it doesn’t sit fully flush against its backside. If they “fixed” this design element, we’d 100 go buy that model immediately and give it six stars.. Nina. Brabantia’s NewIcon step can, 7.9 gallons (30L) has an iconic design and is a reliable worker too. Sturdy, and always stands strong because of its non-slip base and anti-tilting block. Thanks to the unique soft-closure feature, it closes smoothly. And of course, this NewIcon step trash can is hygienic, odor-proof, easy to open, and clean. Perfect for your kitchen or any other room that could use 8 gallons of timeless design.

I searched carefully for a trashcan that would both look good in the kitchen and be the right size for a small household (1- 2 people). This one is perfect. I chose platinum because I didn’t want it to be too shiny. It’s tall enough (26 inches) to hold a 13 gal., tall kitchen trash bag, but narrow enough (11.5 inch diameter) that I can still open my cabinets. (See photos.) The capacity is only 8 gallons, but if the bag has a drawstring, it’s easy to make a 13-gal. gal bag fit well. It comes with three 8-gal. bags, but I like to use bigger bags so that I can add other trash to it before I take it out.. Dee. IL. Thu Jul 02 2026

Upgrade your kitchen’s look and functionality with this space-saving tilt-out trash cabinet (35.8”H x 39.3”L x 13”W) that fits two 10-gallon trash cans (not included). Designed in a timeless farmhouse style, this cabinet works seamlessly in kitchens, laundry rooms, apartments, and dorms; it also features 2 pull-out drawers for storing kitchen supplies, pet food, or cleaning products, with the slanted lower drawer doubling as a handy laundry cabinet for detergent and fabric softener. Made of smooth, polished MDF wood that meets strict CARB P2 requirements, it’s sturdy enough to support up to 35 lbs (approx. 16 kg) for long-lasting use, and its sleek surface is easy to wipe clean, making it a safe, eco-friendly addition to your home.
