This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. It’s a nice couch and it is comfortable. It can seat about four average sized people close or three with plenty of space. The cushions came vacuum sealed So I was a little concerned about them fluffing into full looking cushions but I did not have a problem. I sat them in the sun for about 20 minutes and they look great! The cushions sit directly onto wooden slates that seem a little flimsy and are about a half inch thick so I wouldn’t flop down hard on them. The assembly was super easy and straightforward. There are no tools necessary, there are screws used but they have a twist type top so that you just hand tighten. My biggest issue is wth the back, it velcros to the arms but is loose everywhere else. Extremely happy we made this purchase! The sofa came exactly as described! I was a little concerned about the actual size because of a few reviews but I feel that it’s a very good size in all dimensions. My partner already took a 2 hour nap on the sofa about 2 hours later. There was no strong chemical smell as mentioned in other reviews and the feel of the leather is very nice!
