The only downside I see here is magnets lose strength over time, this might cause the numbers to move not stay on. Will see what happens there. The box also came with a scratch on the top. I searched extensively for a non-wood product that actually looked like real wood and was substantial. This is it. Installation was a breeze if you’re handy with a drill and saw. We used our old 3x3 mail post (with the mailbox support removed) and this post slid right over it. Saved us the step of having to sink a new post into cement, which was huge. I really like this mailbox, and it is wayyyy bigger than expected. As stated it doesn’t include a post so we still need to buy one, but the ad and description provide fair warning so I appreciate this fact. There are separate slots on the box and a locking feature as well. It is extremely heavy weight and durable. If someone were to run into it I feel that they would bear the brunt of the burden, for sure! The address magnets are strong enough to hold for the most part, they may move slightly if moved but pretty strong as well. The post and mailbox are well made and were delivered with no damage. My husband installed the post over an existing 4X4 wooden post from a previous post. I just wish the mailbox was larger.
