The sturdy structure can be installed directly into the ground just like a regular wood post and still meet postal requirements. We used our old 3x3 mail post (with the mailbox support removed) and this post slid right over it. Saved us the step of having to sink a new post into cement, which was huge. The white post mounted mailbox post system (patent pending) is constructed of high-quality commercial grade. The numbers for the number plate are not included but can be purchased at your local hardware store. The assembly is fast and simple with its internal key system that holds the arm firmly in place. All hardware is included (even the bolts that attach the mailbox to the mailbox mounting plate). This post comes fully in length for direct burial so that your system will remain level for many years to come. 4Ever Products does not use wood anchors or other types of the stake that will rot and eventually become unstable.

The post and mailbox are well made and were delivered with no damage. My husband installed the post over an existing 4X4 wooden post from a previous post. I just wish the mailbox was larger.
