And on the front side of the bed is a nice desk. where he does his homework.. however the lights to come with it do not circumference around the whole bottom of the bed. Our niece absolutely adores this bed and storage set! We like that the desk is on wheels so it can be pulled out when needed and stored under when not. The dresser part has two magnetic doors and plenty of storage space for toys, shoes, and books. The loft is short enough we feel comfortable with her on the ladder but tall enough that she can have a cozy chill spot under. The mattress we have on the pictures is 12” for size reference. The only negative is that the entire set took a better part of 3.5 hours to build with 2 people and power tools and a lot of the wood screw holes aren’t pre drilled. Once put together, the bed frame is great and exactly what we wanted. The loss of a star has to do with shipment (the bed came in 2 boxes and they arrived 3 days apart) and difficulty to assemble.
