These shelves are beautiful wood and are pretty deep. I love the color as well. I wanted something to put plants on and they are solid holding a lot of weight. I had a bit of trouble putting them up because the studs in my wall weren't spaced right they were to far apart to hit two studs. I ended up using one stud and 4 drywall anchors. It is a very nice shelf but I thought it would be 12” deep for the entire length of the shelf and there is just the middle spot that maybe reach 12” the other part of the shelf are around 8-9” at the most. Unique, authentic, and naturally narrow live edge spalted or wormy/ambrosia maple floating shelves are functional and gorgeous. These natural and narrow live edge hardwood maple ledges can also be used as a floating bookshelf or floating mantel. Gorgeous spalting or wormy ambrosia with complementary natural grain coloration of gray and peach. They all have their own beautiful and unique character, and will always be created from kiln dried maple with either spalting or ambrosia, but no two will look the same. If you order multiple shelves in one order, we can create them from the same slab or same tree so they look similar. These narrow wood shelves are custom, handcrafted, and made-to-order.
