All the artisan details wrap fully around ensuring that this clock is truly beautiful from any view.

Let time move into a private vintage theater. Roman hands orbit a gilt dial, every tick a page turned in an old script; a bronze key unlocks not just the door, but the ritual of elegance. A large gold-titanium pendulum sways slowly, its etched pattern catching micro-glints of light. Solid hardwood refuses corrosion and warping, turning years into an ally, not an enemy. The dial pairs modern style with ancient soul—one glance and you’re in love, yet always on time. More than a floor clock, it’s the lead actor in your personal drama of hours.

The charming and classic design of this clock adds elegance to any space. The medium-brown wooden case complements any decor, and the glass cover on a door opens to a pendulum with a gleaming gold finish. Each quarter-hour you’ll hear the Westminster/Whittington chimes, whose volume is easily controlled to your preference and can be silenced during the night. IT’S ABOUT TIME … AND PATIENCE: This clock is classic and beautiful with a gold rim around its face, gold numbers, gold scrollwork, black ornamentals, and spindly hands. Another reviewer stated the cover over the face is plastic instead of glass and that the "wood" is really pressed cardboard hiding beneath a thinly veiled veneer. I think he was right about the cover - it does feel like plastic instead of glass. The wood feels like wood to me. I hope it is since the clock is described as being made of wood. The chime melodies are all beautiful and a joy to hear … except at night when I want to sleep. Fortunately, the volume can be lowered or the chimes can be turned off between 11 p.m. and 5:45 a.m. or turned off altogether. I would like to keep the back cover on all the time but it’s a bit of a pain to put on after removing it to switch chimes on or off. It’s important to READ THROUGH THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE attempting to install batteries and set the time. And it takes patience to get the chimes to sound on the hour. I used my smartwatch with a second hand to set the time so that it would chime at the right time. It’s not perfect but it’s as close as my patience allows. Like most everything else, the clock is made in China. It’s sad that it’s not made in the United States. At just over $200, I feel like I’m paying good money for something lacking the quality of past years (plastic cover and the possibility of veneer instead of real wood). So only four stars for not being made in the United States and possibly cheaper materials.. Pixie. Florida. Mon Jul 13 2026
