The 7.36 in x 13.26 in x 10.51 in size allows it to hold letter size paper while the lid hangs over the side of the box to accommodate letter size hanging files (not included). A leather handle is included for easy retrieval and enhances the look of the box. Such a great price! I am using this file box to replace my old, too small and hard to use Greeting Card holder. This file is large enough to hold actual hanging file folders....so that I can keep my greeting cards easily separated...AND I CAN EASILY REMOVE THE PARTICULAR SET OF CARDS FOR THE SPECIFIC OCCASION. Now, I can remove, for example, the entire "Birthday" folder of cards and not have to flip through many other cards that are not for Birthdays. This is especially helpful now, at Christmas, because I can keep my addresses and other information in the same file folder. Took 24 minutes to build and was very easy to put together. Scan the code and watch the video much easier then looking at the pictures. The photo showed a height of 24.8" its actually 25.2" which made it not fit under my desk but the specifications shows 26" so should've read that.
